FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is the drive-in?
The entrance to the Hollywood Drive-In Theatre is located at 1538 Cedar Ave. (The “drive-in” is the parking lot behind the shop, which is located at 5908 Hamilton Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio, 45224).
If I am walking up, where do I park?
There is plenty of free parking in College Hill! There is street parking on Cedar, a new lot across the street on Cedar (behind Pour Lounge), and a lot behind Brink on the other side of Hamilton!
If I bought a car ticket in advance online, can I arrive early for the cosplay event (and park in the lot)?
Yes! If you buy a car ticket in advance, you may arrive as early as 4pm. Instructions will be emailed to you closer to the event with more information. The parking lot will be closed to the general public starting at 2PM. Car tickets purchased at the door will not be on sale until 6pm when “doors” open.
Do I need a radio?
No! The screening will have speakers with amplified sound so a radio is not necessary. If you do bring a radio, it must be able to tune to the exact station (95.9 FM) to pick up the sound of the film. If you bought a car ticket, you can use your car radio and tune into 95.9 FM!
Can I bring food and drink?
Yes! But please note, the concession stand will be open from 6:00 PM - 8:30PM. The Hollywood Drive-In Theatre is located in the neighborhood’s DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) corridor. You may drink in the parking lot ONLY if you have a DORA cup purchased at the following establishments: Brink, Big Chill, Bacalls Cafe, Kiki, Tortilleria Garcia, and Marty's Hops & Vines. You are allowed to bring your own food, but we urge you to check out some of College Hill’s great restaurants!
Where is the bathroom?
Please use the restrooms in Manga Manga! They will be open for the duration of the event. The store will be open until around 7:30 if you are interested in purchasing any manga!
Is there anything else I need to know about the screening?
Please do not bring pets. No grilling out. Do not sit on the top of vehicles. Please turn off your headlights once you are parked. Please do not leave your car running during the movie. You may start the engine periodically to keep your battery charged.
Is there anything else I need to know about the cosplay contest or Halloween runway?
All ages can participate in the contest (and any type of costume!) This is a family-friendly event so please keep costumes appropriate. Stage weapons only. Store bought or handmade...all accepted! There will be individual and group prizes! Winners will be announced around 6pm. This is a low pressure event and we just want folks to have fun!
